About the Couple and Their Day
Like many modern couples, Kendra and Steven met through a dating app—but their relationship quickly grew beyond screens and into a life shaped by shared adventure. Originally from Alberta, the pair made a bold move in 2021, relocating to London, England, to pursue their careers and embrace a long-held dream of living abroad. Today, London feels as much like home as Canada.
Their engagement took place in Italy in 2022, setting the tone for a wedding that would celebrate both their global journey and their deep roots back home. On August 17, 2024, they gathered their closest friends and family in Alberta to mark the next chapter of their story.
The morning began in Calgary at Kendra’s childhood home, where Steven and his groomsmen got ready. Just down the street, Kendra prepared with her bridesmaids at a family friend’s stunning property—a location that also hosted some of the day’s most emotional moments. Kendra planned a series of first looks, beginning with her bridesmaids, followed by her father, and finally Steven. A brief, unexpected summer downpour created a pause in the day—one that allowed the couple to breathe, laugh, and savour the moment before heading out for portraits.

Kendra and Steven’s ceremony took place at The Gathered, a farm venue just outside Calgary near Kathryn, Alberta. With sweeping prairie views and a sense of quiet openness, the venue provided a stunning backdrop for vows exchanged under clear summer skies. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed lawn games and cocktails while Kendra and Steven slipped away for a private Champagne toast—one of several small, intentional moments they built into the day. The reception unfolded beneath The Gathered’s beautiful clear tent, where a farm-to-table dinner curated by the couple took centre stage. In a nod to their travels, the catering team even learned to prepare cacio e pepe, one of Kendra and Steven’s favourite dishes.
Each place setting included a handwritten thank-you note for every guest—a simple but deeply meaningful gesture that spoke volumes about how much their community mattered to them.
As the evening progressed, heartfelt speeches gave way to a first dance—and then to a full-on celebration. Inspired by a conga line Kendra experienced during her bachelorette party in Morocco, the couple made sure to bring the tradition to their wedding day. The result was a packed dance floor, a joyful chain of guests weaving through the tent, and a party that lasted late into the night.
