Katelyn and David’s mountain wedding at Silvertip Resort in Canmore, Alberta was the perfect reflection of their story—relaxed, joyful, and rooted in deep connection. With spring sunshine breaking through after a stretch of winter weather, their April 27 celebration felt like a turning point into a new season of love. From playful foosball photos to heartfelt vows overlooking the Rockies, every moment was filled with meaning, laughter, and unforgettable views.

About the Couple and Their Day
Katelyn and David’s story began nearly a decade ago at a house party in Ontario. Since then, they’ve built a life together in Canmore, drawn to the wild beauty of the Canadian Rockies. It’s no surprise they chose to celebrate their wedding surrounded by towering peaks and rustic elegance.
Their day began with David getting ready at home with his groomsmen—complete with a foosball photo session—while Katelyn prepped at the luxurious Malcolm Hotel, finishing her vows and enjoying a calm, laughter-filled morning with her closest friends.

Rather than a first look, Katelyn and David opted to see each other for the first time at the altar. Their ceremony took place on the Silvertip Patio, used for intimate mountain weddings from October through April. It was an emotional moment made even more poignant by the alpine backdrop and floral arrangements by Blue Lakes Floral Design.
After the ceremony, the couple kept portraits short and sweet so they could enjoy cocktail hour with their guests—an intentional choice that reflected their easygoing personalities. The evening flowed into a candlelit reception inside The Pavilion at Silvertip, with speeches, golden-hour photos, and a night of dancing.

What Made This Wedding Special
This wedding was full of thoughtful choices that reflected who Katelyn and David are as a couple—intentional, adventurous, and grounded. Their decision to skip a long photo session in favor of more time with loved ones created a relaxed, connection-filled atmosphere. From heartfelt speeches to a golden-hour escape, every detail was authentic to them.
The scenic location at Silvertip Resort added a layer of awe to the entire day. With panoramic mountain views, rustic architecture, and impeccable service, the venue provided the perfect balance of natural beauty and refined elegance. And with expert coordination by Three Sisters Events, the day unfolded seamlessly.
