Samuel and Virginie, the talented duo behind SV Photograph, have a story that's as dynamic as the landscapes they capture. Originally from France, their journey into photography began with Virginie's passion for visual storytelling. Virginie had a visual eye from a young age, she began exploring photography when she was 12 years old and even pursued studies in film direction.
Their photographic career truly blossomed in Tahiti, where they shifted from boudoir photography to weddings, enamoured by the eloquence of Tahitian springs and the romance of weddings against its picturesque backdrops. This marked the start of a profession that has spanned over 20 years, with stops in New Zealand, Tahiti, and eventually, the stunning landscapes of western Canada.
In their quest to find the perfect home, Samuel and Virginie settled in Cardston County, Alberta, drawn to its diverse landscapes and the breathtaking play of nature's elements under Canada's sunniest skies. Their transition to Alberta hasn't been without its challenges. Relocating their thriving business to another part of the country has meant that they are essentially starting from scratch with very little bookings.
Their ultimate goal is to spend less time on marketing and more time doing what they love—capturing beautiful moments through their photography—while also combating challenges like competition from new photographers entering the industry each year. They specialize in wild elopements, building tailor-made elopement experiences for their clients and they hope to attract clients from all over the world to experience the stunning landscapes of Alberta with them.
