About the Couple and Their Day

Madison and Jason are the kind of couple who remind you what it means to live boldly. Both brilliant and full of joy, they’re fiercely dedicated to having fun together — no matter what life throws their way. Their June 14th wedding in Canmore, Alberta was the perfect reflection of their adventurous spirit and unwavering positivity.

The day began at the Solara Resort & Spa in Canmore, where the couple got ready in separate hotel rooms filled with laughter, anticipation, and a few last-minute playlist battles. From there, they made their way to Tunnel Mountain, an iconic Banff ceremony location surrounded by sweeping mountain views and wildflowers dancing in the wind.

Despite unpredictable weather — the kind that only the Rockies can deliver — Madison and Jason embraced every moment. There were bursts of sun, dramatic clouds, and even the looming threat of rain. But the couple’s energy never faltered; if anything, it added a touch of spontaneity to an already unforgettable day.

After the ceremony, the group headed to Lake Minnewanka for portraits — with only 20 minutes to capture everything. Against the backdrop of shimmering blue waters and alpine peaks, the result was timeless. The love between Madison and Jason radiated effortlessly, and their joyful resilience shone through every frame.

The reception returned to The Mainspace at Solara, transformed into a cozy mountain celebration. Guests gathered under warm light, sharing laughter, good food, and stories that echoed through the evening.

What Made This Wedding Special

Everything about Madison and Jason’s day felt like a page from The Sound of Music. Between the wildflowers, the sweeping alpine views, and Madison’s ethereal bohemian dress, the atmosphere was enchanting.

But what truly stood out was how the couple turned every challenge into joy. The weather may have tried to interfere, yet Madison and Jason refused to let anything steal their happiness. As photographer Jen Rush shared, “It was a day that kept trying to go wrong, but we refused to let it.”

In the end, as the first raindrops began to fall just as they arrived at the reception, it felt like nature itself was applauding their resilience — a poetic end to a perfectly imperfect mountain wedding.
